About:
Vulnerable Beauty is a piece I've created to process the fragility of life.
The idea behind it is simple, it's to remind us that life is precious. Go out, live your life. Do whatever you mean to do. Wear that dress. Go to that concert. Tell that person that you love them. Don't wait for a better time. Lose the illusion of having time. Stop waiting. Live your life!
I chose a peacock to represent my feelings because something can be incredibly beautiful and still be vulnerable and fragile.
Vulnerable Beauty is framed in an imperfect, distressed frame. This was done on purpose, because life is imperfect, just like this frame, yet still worth living.
In 2021, this art piece was recognized as an Honourable Mention Award Winner in an Open Art Competition in the Beginner Category at the Allied Arts Council of Spruce Grove.
