The Spark behind the Art
My art began with stories.
After my brain injury, storytelling and creating became a way to process what had happened, work through healing, and make sense of a world that had suddenly changed. Over time, those stories became art — and the art became something much bigger.
Today, inspiration can come from almost anywhere. Sometimes there’s a deeper story behind a piece. Sometimes I’m exploring resilience, healing, or helping people understand the invisible effects of brain injury.
And sometimes I just want to paint something colourful, make something fun, or see where an idea takes me.
That’s the beauty of creating. It doesn’t always need a reason.
Some pieces tell a story. Some start a conversation. Some simply make me smile.
And some do all three.
