Confidence

Confidence is the third and currently last piece in a series called "Strength Within".

It portrays a gorilla's head, kind of looking at you sideways. This art piece has been crafted out of white and black leather pieces.

Pieces in this series are meant to portray strength. However, we as humans often struggle to recognize our own strength, but are capable of recognizing strength in animals. For this reason, all pieces in this series portray animals humans generally think are strong.

These pieces are meant to help remind us of just how amazingly strong we truly are. We can overcome challenges. Simply because deep within us is a strength we didn't know we could tap into, until the moment it was all we could do to keep doing. The strength is within us, and pieces in this series are meant to remind me of this strength.

Or perhaps it's  just a gorilla to you, and that's perfectly OK too.

This art piece has been sold in 2021, and is now part of the Municipal Art Collection of the City of Spruce Grove.
