Illusion of Time

Illusion of Time - Cynthia Carson.png

About:

This art piece has been carefully handcrafted out of black and white leather, as well as glass seed beads, and topped with epoxy resin.

It portrays a hand and an hourglass. The hand is holding "sand/time" that is trickling through the cracks between the fingers. The hourglass also has "sand/time" running through it.

The idea behind this piece is simple. It is to remind us that time is precious. Time is always ticking away. It's just trickling through our hands, while you wait for that perfect moment.

"You think you have time. Yet every second time trickles through your hands. You don't know when it will end. Time is precious. The time is now. Live your life. Enjoy the little things. Hug a little longer. Stress less. It's up to you, how you use your time. You think you have time, though you do not know when it will end."

These where the thoughts when I created Illusion of Time, though this piece might signify something completely different to you, and that's perfectly OK.

This piece sold within the first 2 hours of a new exhibition at a gallery and is now part of a private collection.
